o Building Area: 6,000 sq ft (560 sq m) NorWest Recreation Centre (Arena) Addition o Usage: The Municipality of Oliver Paipoonge was looking to update their existing facility. An addition to the arena was drafted up and proposed to the township. The original arena was used year round, but when originally constructed was small in comparison to what they needed now. The existing dressing four rooms were very small and the concession area with viewing glass was very confined when tournaments were going on. The glass viewing area was mainly congested because of the lack of a heated seating area for the fans. The stands are now heated, we have extended the viewing area and concession area to accommodate the guests, the original four dressing rooms were made into two large dressing rooms and three new large dressing rooms were added. The upgrades were exactly what the arena needed, including new shower/washroom areas in the dressing rooms and a new private referee change room.
